Individual Therapy
A family-centered approach to provide personalized support tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Program Details
Individual therapy sessions consist of a child working 1:1 with an occupational therapist to learn a new skill pertaining to self-care, school and play.
Our individual therapy services are designed using a family-centred approach, providing personalized, focused support tailored to each child and family’s unique needs. We will work with families to identify specific goals for each individual child.

Our Therapeutic Process
-
Assessment & Discovery
We begin with a comprehensive intake call and observational assessment, uncovering your child’s unique strengths and areas for growth. This foundation ensures our approach is perfectly tailored to your family’s needs.
-
Collaborative Goal Setting
Together, we craft meaningful, achievable goals that become the cornerstone of your child’s personalized nature-based treatment plan. Your family’s voice guides every step of this collaborative process.
-
Nature-Based Intervention
Through carefully designed outdoor activities, exercises, and therapeutic techniques, we help your child develop essential skills while connecting with the natural world’s inherent healing properties.
-
Progress Monitoring
We continuously track your child’s development, adapting our approach as they grow. Regular progress updates ensure transparency and maintain strong collaboration between sessions.

Everbloom’s outdoor therapy sessions are play-based and child-led. Play is a child’s primary occupation and it makes therapy fun and engaging. Occupational therapists are experts in adapting play to fit a child’s goals. The play opportunities during a session will be intentionally chosen and adapted on a minute by minute basis to ensure sessions are filled with opportunities for learning and growth.
-
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. Children are taught to dress for the weather so that they can have fun even in the rain and snow! The exception is dangerous weather (i.e. high winds, thunderstorms, and extreme temperatures) in which case there is an indoor space that has all amenities. Cancelled programs will be rescheduled.
-
Infant to 4 years old: Parents are required to stay for the one-hour treatment block.
Ages 4+: Parents are not required to stay for the session; It is up to the family's discretion whether or not they will participate with their child in the in-person therapy sessions. Parents will remain informed through weekly updates, resource sharing, and an end-of-block summary report or phone call.
-
If you would like Everbloom to collaborate with your child’s team at school or in the community, we recommend purchasing the Standard Bundle. The Standard Bundle offers written session summary notes as well as an end of block report for families to share with teachers and/or allied professionals.
